Grachet Duchemin

Marion is born and bred Burgundy, the daughter of a winemaker, she has taken over the family vines together with her husband Arnaud Grachet. In her pervious life she was a teacher at the local secondary school where she met Arnaud but the call of the vine was too strong and when her father needed to retire, she took over the baton.

Maranges has become a very interesting appellation for characterful wines, showcasing the region’s elegance and finesse at great value. Grachet Duchemin are fortunate enough to work 10 ha across several Côtes de Beaune appellations, including Santenay, Maranges, Haute Côtes de Beaune and St Aubin. Vines range between 5-40 years old.

Work in the vines is done with care and attention under Lutte Raisonnee, a sustainable approach that is harmony with the terroir. Work in the winery follows the same delicate principles started in the vines. The whites are fermented in used oak and aged in barrel for 12 months with 25% new oak to give added texture. Reds are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel with 12 months aging in oak (25% new).

Their style highlights a vibrant refreshing palate.
