Monchiero

Monchiero Fratelli, based in the historic village of Castiglione Falletto in the Langhe region, is a family-run winery that has been crafting Barolo since the 1950s. Founded by brothers Remo and Maggiorino, the estate is now managed by the third generation, with Vittorio Monchiero joined by his sons Luca and Stefano.

Spanning 10 hectares across Castiglione Falletto, La Morra, and Alba, the vineyards produce single-vineyard Barolos and two commune blends that showcase the unique terroirs of these celebrated areas.

The winery’s Barolo Montanello vineyard has received significant acclaim, earning “Best in Show” at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2024, highlighting its exceptional quality and attention to detail.

The 2020 vintage, reflects the warmth and character of the region, offering an elegant and expressive take on Langhe’s celebrated winemaking heritage. Monchiero Fratelli’s commitment to tradition and terroir continues to set it apart as a benchmark for Barolo.
